Technicians

What is WSALAVT?

The Wisconsin Student Association for Laboratory Animal and Veterinary Technicians is an MATC-sanctioned club that is open to all MATC Veterinary Technicians and Laboratory Animal Technicians students. WSALAVT is a student chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America (NAVTA). The purpose of our club is to educate each other and the public about animals, support each other as students, and participate in community service activities including our Animal Adoption Program.

Fundraisers

The money that the club raises goes towards the WVTA (Wisconsin Veterinary Technician Association) continuing education convention registration fee in the fall, guest speakers, social events, various animal related organizations, and graduation banquet for the 2nd year students. Examples of some fundraisers are: car wash, book fair, t-shirt and food/candy sales.
