Upcoming Events - Disability Resource Services
Looking Forward
Looking Forward is an evening of questions and answers with agencies offering supportive services for individuals with disabilities. Even if you have not yet reached your last year of high school, this evening is an opportunity to start planning now for your future. Representatives from various agencies, and postsecondary institutions, both public and private, will be on hand to explain their programs, support services and requirements for eligibility.
This year's program will feature presentations on attending Madison College and UW Whitewater, Financial Aid, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), employment preparation and transitioning students on the autism spectrum. We hope you utilize this opportunity to become aware of what support is available in the community. We look forward to seeing you and assisting you in planning your future!
The workshop is being held on November 7 at 5:00pm. It will last approximately 3 hours and is offered free of charge. If you're interested in attending, no registration is required, however if you will need accommodations such as a sign language interpreter, please contact DRS by October 24th at (608) 246-6716 or drs[at] matcmadison [dot] edu.

Every summer, DRS provides an opportunity for parents to see what life will be like for their college student with a disability, what resources they will have, and how to help them make a smooth transition. This year it was held on June 15th at the Truax campus.
