    Overview:

    >Always discuss course difficulties with your instructor first. Utilize tutoring services as a secondary resource.

    >Tutoring services are available to any Madison College student attending degree (credit) classes at any district location free of charge. 

    >Peer Tutors have earned an B or better in the courses they tutor and are recommended by Madison College faculty.

    >If you meet with a tutor one-on-one, you will be limited to 3 hours of tutoring per week.  Walk-in or small group tutoring does not have any limits. 

    Preparing for Tutoring:

    >Prepare yourself in advance by completing all reading assignments and finishing as much of any  assignment as you can before meeting with the tutor.

    >Try to determine exactly what you don’t understand, and write down specific questions to ask the tutor.

    >Bring your course syllabus, textbooks, lecture notes, handouts, assignment directives, and any other necessary materials and supplies.
