    These brief tutorials walk prospective and current students through the various processes related to becoming a Madison College student.

    Most tasks are done through myMadisonCollege, our student online portal. If you have additional questions beyond these demonstrations, search our knowledge base of frequently asked questions available through askMadisonCollege or call the Enrollment Center at (608) 246-6210.

    Many of the following resources are currently being updated due to a recent student administration system upgrade. During this transition, please reference the Text Version for current instructions, and check back soon for new tutorials!

    Academic Requirements (formerly Degree Audit)

    The Academic Requirements report will assist students with assessment of their progress in their program or certificate completion process. This tutorial provides instructions on how to access and utilize the Academic Requirement report via the myMadisonCollege Student Center.

    Account Activation

    This is the first step new students take to log into their online Student Center through myMadisonCollege, Madison College's student portal. When new students activate their accounts, they are given access to class registration, financial aid information, grades, calendars, and more.

    The same web page is accessed to change a password or if a password is forgotten.

    Please note: If a student has never taken a class or been accepted into a program at Madison College, they must first create an account prior to activation. See Student Status for information and access to Account Creation.

    Account Creation

    Those who have never before taken a class or applied to a program at Madison College may establish a student account through the online Account Creation process. Upon creation of a new account, Account Activation may be completed to obtain access to the myMadisonCollege Student Center and portal. This is the first step new students take to log into their online Student Center through myMadisonCollege, Madison College's student portal.     Add a Class

    Adding a class to a course schedule is easy through the Madison College Student Center. The process is fully automated, and can be done online from any computer with Internet access.

    Browse Course Catalog

    This tutorial shows how to browse the course catalog for courses alphabetically, and numerically from myMadisonCollege. This will assist in finding classes to enroll in for the upcoming semester.

    Check Your Enrollment Date

    Class Permissions granted by faculty or academic advisors allow Madison College students to add a class previously blocked due to class requirements (degree credit classes only).

    Class Search

    Class Swap

    Drop a Class

    FAFSA Completion

    The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step required to apply for Financial Aid.

    Financial Aid Award Acceptance and E-Refunding

    Effective Fall 2010, all Federal Stafford Loans and work study must be either accepted or declined in part or full through myMadisonCollege. You may also now have financial aid refunds electronically deposited into a bank account. Learn how to accept and decline, and set up electronic refunding online through your Student Center.

    Grant Student Permissions

    Learn how to grant student permissions using the Student Center. This process is only applicable to financial aid students. By granting permission you authorize Madison College to apply any Title IV funds you receive toward payment of any charges billed by Madison College. You also authorize Madison College to pay prior year charges of no more than $200 with Title IV funds.
