Respiratory Therapists treat individuals coping with breathing issues. Throughout this two year program, students will regularly take part in clinicals in which they learn how to care for patients from the time they arrive at the hospital to when they leave. Part of the intense hands-on training involves working on a simulated patient that helps teach the students how to read patients’ vital signs on a monitor, administer CPR, apply oxygen, and so much more, all in a realistic setting.
