About 40% of Madison College students are in the Liberal Arts Transfer program. These students ultimately plan to transfer to a four-year institution, but choose to complete their general education courses at Madison College for a variety of reasons: The outstanding experience, education and connection with instructors; Personal attention from advisors and faculty for the best possible transfer preparation; Huge financial savings. Students who begin at Madison College and complete 54 credits (approx. 2 years) with a 3.0 GPA are guaranteed junior status at the UW-Madison upon transfer.
