    I encourage you to read these two timely articles. One is from The Chronicle of Higher Education and the other from Inside Higher Ed.

    Sara Goldrick-RabIn the Chronicle commentary, "The Sky Is Falling," Sara Goldrick-Rab, who was our convocation speaker in August, gives her feelings about the removal of the American Graduation Initiative (AGI) from combined health care/student aid legislation that we hoped would be passed this week.

    Inside Higher EdI have also included the article from Inside Higher Ed entitled "Hope Amid Disappointment," which illustrates the strength of purpose that community college folks have even amid terrible disappointment. 

    I think you will find the articles both disappointing and uplifting.
