STEPS Intake, Admissions and Orientation Team Enhancing the Way We Work

As we move towards the July Go-Live of the STEPS upgrade, the project teams continue to work towards making positive changes in the education of our applicants and prospective students. The Intake, Admissions and Orientation team is dedicated to developing efficient ways of monitoring the flow of record information and perfecting data collection methods to be more user-friendly and secure.

The Intake, Admissions and Orientation team has helped create and implement new, effective ways to process, store and share applicant and prospect information. The enhancements will provide the necessary access to the faculty and staff who need it, while ensuring safety and security. Staff, faculty, applicants and prospective students can look forward to the following improvements:

-Faculty Access: Access to data for faculty members will be role-specific, increasing security measures.
STEPS logo-Applicant/Prospect Data Storage: For easier review and organization of collected data, allowing staff to more quickly access and provide information.
-Applicant To-Do List Items: Information on outstanding credentials (test scores, transcripts) with submission deadlines for program consideration will be accessible online via the myMadisonCollege Student Center “To Do” list functionality.
-Test Score Collection and Processing: For more efficient collection and processing of external test scores, primarily ACT scores, as this test is one of the major entrance exams taken by our applicants.

STEPS Intake, Admissions and Orientation Team members included Team Lead Stephanie Dean, and Team Members Peri Mills and Tricia Campbell from CedarCrestone consulting.
