STEPS Campus Community Team Making Strides

The STEPS Program upgrade will produce new ways to recognize and categorize students. The Campus Community team is developing new methods to manage and keep track of students and groups, as well as providing new techniques to organize and share student information.
The Campus Community Team is committed to providing easier ways for all divisions of the college to work with shared (community) data within PeopleSoft. One way to do this is through Student Groups. The Student Group process will serve as a way of classifying students, allowing faculty and staff to organize them into similar factions with parallel needs. This will provide convenient grouping, making it easier to communicate with students who share related characteristics and require comparable attention.
The Campus Community team has developed resources that can dramatically change the way student information is organized allowing for faster communication and more detailed student data. With these enhancements in place, the college will be able to tailor student groupings and classifications to best support each individual student as well as the student body as a whole. With direction from the STEPS program team, the Campus Community team will continue to lead the STEPS business processes of the college after the PeopleSoft 9.0 upgrade.
Campus Community Team members include Marty Crabbs, team lead; and team members Stephanie Dean, Lori McRoberts, Marcia Forbes, Annie Neuberger, Nicole Soulier, Jayme Kerr, Peri Mills and Roxanne Zetzman. We also recognize and thank Paul Martin and all of our CedarCrestone, Inc. consultants.
