Smoking/Tobacco Use/Weapons Prohibited on Campus

On July 1, 2010, Madison Area Technical College became 100 percent tobacco-free as part of the College’s efforts to create a safer and healthier environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the College.
The policy prohibits the use of tobacco products anywhere on district-owned or district-leased property, including buildings, grounds, parking lots, and vehicles. Please report violations of the smoking policy to the Public Safety Department. I'm asking for everyone’s support in ensuring compliance with this district policy.
As a reminder to all members of the College community, weapons of any kind are not permitted in any college-owned or leased facility. All campus facilities are posted with the appropriate signage prohibiting the carrying of weapons inside college facilities.
Thank you.
