Requesting Course Copy from Current Fall Term Shells

Option 1:
Export/Import Course:
After requesting a Term Shell for Spring 2012 using the Faculty Class Maintenance website, an Instructor may export the content of their current term course. Then they can import the file into their New Term Shell for Spring 2012.
Export Instructions:
-Go to the Control Panel of your course in Blackboard 8 and click on Export Course.
-Check all of the items that are requested for the export and then submit.
-Allow a few minutes, and then right click and refresh.
-Right click on the export file and save to the desktop.
-Import Instructions:
-Look under the Control Panel in the right side of your New Term Shell in Blackboard 9.1.
-Choose import package/view logs.
-Click on Import Package.
-Browse and upload the Exported Package you created earlier on your desktop.
-Choose all of the items to import.
-Click on submit.
-Allow 30 minutes for the course to completely import the contents.
Option 2:
Wait for a system copy. Starting on December 16, we will start to copy all current term courses from the Blackboard 8 system to the new Blackboard 9.1 system. No action is required by you.

If you are having trouble exporting/importing your Fall 2011 Course on Blackboard 8 into your New Spring 2012 Term Shell on Blackboard 9.1, put in a Help Desk request for help from the Blackboard Team.
