At Madison Area Technical College, instructors and students have a right to an educational environment which is conducive to learning. Each instructor has the opportunity to create and maintain a quality learning environment in the classroom.
The Faculty Guidebook suggests that to develop a quality learning environment in the classsroom in which the greatest growth is possible for all students, faculty need to follow a few key principles. These principles include establishing trust and respect, getting student buy-in and setting clear and high expectations.
The College website also contains many links with information to support faculty in developing a quality learning environment and with classroom management.
