New Student Email Communication Policy in Effect
Mon, 08/29/2011 - 10:21 — tvdao
In July, the Madison College-assigned student email became the official address and form of college business communication to all students. The new Communication to Students Administrative Policy will take the guesswork and inconsistency out of business communications by bringing a more immediate, dynamic and environmentally conscious way for Madison College to communicate with its students.
To maintain effective communications with students who may not have convenient access to email (e.g., non-credit, continuing education or corporate training students) it may occasionally be necessary to use other methods of communications. However, the college looks forward to this policy decreasing the use of printed mailing college-wide, and increasing the effectiveness of communication between Madison College and its students.
Some of the many benefits of leveraging email as the official form of communication include:
Budget-friendly: Reduces funds spent on printing supplies and postage
Service-Oriented: Provides students with time-sensitive information in an efficient manner
Earth-friendly: Promotes “green” alternative to paper and printing materials
