New Saturday Term Start Hours for Service Offices

For the spring 2012 term, the following service offices will now be open the two Saturdays prior to term start, January 7 and 14, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., to provide students with the services needed to be prepared for the new term, before classes start:

• Enrollment Centers
• Student Development Centers
• Student Life (OneCard and bus pass services)
• Testing Center (Commercial Avenue only)
• Regional and metro campus offices

Previously, these College service offices were open the Saturday before and after the term start; however, a steady shift in student demand has led to moving up term start Saturday service dates to before the term instead. The above service hours will no longer be available the Saturday after term start. However, the Welcome Center and Libraries are regularly open on all
non-holiday Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Bookstore will continue to be open the Saturday prior to and after term start (hours vary by location, see the Bookstore web page for details).

By offering additional availability before the term is underway, the college hopes to serve and prepare students in a more proactive manner and provide a smoother transition into the new term.
