New Director of Testing and Assessment Named

Effective February 14, James (Jim) Merritt will be joining Madison College as the Director of Testing and Assessment, filling the vacancy with the retirement of Sue Carter earlier this year. Jim will be responsible for all testing programs and services at the college including the mandatory assessment, advising and placement (MAAP) program.
Jim has been working at Community Colleges in Student Development for the past 30 years, most recently serving as Director of Testing and Career Related Services at Marshalltown Community College – one of the Iowa Valley Community Colleges in Marshalltown, Iowa. Jim earned his Bachelor’s of Arts from Wartburg and his Masters from Northern Iowa University.
