Mid-Semester Convocation

Mid-Semester Convocation is October 25, 2011

The plans for Mid-Semester Convocation on Tuesday, October 25 have been finalized and once again we are changing to respond to your requests and needs. The very fact that the Convocation was scheduled for Tuesday is a direct request from those many faculty members who teach on Fridays and were always impacted by holding the Mid-Semester Convocation on that day of the week. All Convocation activities will be held at Truax Campus. No classes are scheduled to meet on that day on any Madison College campus.

Changes
To break with tradition and provide common planning time for all employee units, CETL will not be creating a program of breakout sessions for the day. Units may request specific training sessions using the Training Request Link on the CETL main page. You will find the Training Request link on the right hand side of your screen listed under “New Features > CETL Request Form.” For ideas on the kinds of technology training available from CETL look on the Technology Training page.

Schedule
On Tuesday, October 25 there will be an opening session in the Mitby Theatre from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Coffee and juice will be available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Beginning at 10 a.m. all units, departments, programs, and schools throughout the college will have an opportunity to gather for training needs or unit planning/budget meetings at their discretion. All room reservations must be made via CETL using the Request Form described above.

Deadline

Please send your requests no later than end of business on Friday, October 14. We will publish the list of requested meetings and trainings online one week prior to the Convocation.
