January Convocation Update

    Plans for the upcoming January Convocation are coming into focus. Here's the tentative schedule.

    ConvocationTUESDAY, JANUARY 10:
    We will begin Convocation with a traditional opening session at 8:30 a.m. It will be followed by Center/School, Department/Program meetings throughout the remainder of the day. If you're planning a center/school or department/program meeting for Tuesday please use the session planning form on the convocation page to reserve space for your meeting.

    We're planning to host the opening session in the Mitby Theatre with a reduced seating space for the audience due to construction projects. To accommodate this challenge we will broadcast the opening session via media site so that all employees can see it at any computer. We will also broadcast to an alternative space for overflow seating at Truax.

    WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11:
    Due to construction plans we will not hold a Learner Success Assembly on Wednesday. We will hold breakout sessions throughout that day including some sponsored by Learner Success, CETL and other units. The Convocation session planning form is now available online for employees/teams/units who wish to present on topics for faculty and staff. The deadline for all submissions is Wednesday,December 7. A tentative schedule will be posted on December 20 and the final schedule will be posted on January 5.
