Hands-On Cognos Workshop

Do you need to pull a list of your program students? Do you need to know the FTE and headcount your program is generating? Need to analyze success trends for your students? Can you use reports to help you manage your sections as they fill up? Are there other reports that you need on a regular basis?

Well, we have the training for you! Using Madison College’s Business Intelligence Tool, Cognos, you can easily pull your list of students and analyze what's happening in your program.

WHAT:
Prerequisite: Excitement for Cool Data Tools!

WHEN:
Friday, Feb. 3 from 9-10:30 a.m.

HANDS-ON WORKSHOP AGENDA:
• Getting to know your data (Data 101) – 30 minutes
• Cognos Connection – Running Customized Pre-made reports – 60 minutes

DETAILS:
The workshop will familiarize your with Cognos Connection, where you can access and run standard reports using prompts. Attend Cognos Report User Training to learn how you can get customized reports as you need them or on a regular scheduled to your email inbox.
