"Get Five" with a New Video!

Have you talked with five people about the College building plans? The “Get Five” effort has 25 more days to go.
Marketing instructor Steve Noll asked all of us a few weeks ago to find 5 people from our family, faith community, neighborhood or other part of our life with whom to share the Smart Community Plan.
We have a new tool to help you in this effort. Our communications team produced a video featuring community leaders from the health and public safety sectors combined with information about the history of the college and the Smart Community Plan.
It has an touching message, runs about four minutes and would be perfect for those who don’t like PowerPoints. The video pairs well with the four-paragraph Elevator Speech and the Frequently Asked Questions.
We also have two PowerPoints with scripts to help you. One is short (12 minutes) and the second is 22 minutes long and contains three short videos. We know groups can sit through longer presentations if we offer multimedia elements. This second PowerPoint is perfect for a presenter who prefers to talk for a short period.
We also have versions of these PowerPoints that can be customized either for your discipline or for your geographic area. mdowner[at] matcmadison [dot] edu (Michelle Downer) at (608) 246-6451 can help you.
You can direct your friends and associates to our special Facebook page. Next week we’ll have some great news about a special project that our social media faculty and students have helped design!
You also will likely see the College’s ads for our education campaign in papers throughout the district, or hear our ads on district radio stations.
We’d love your feedback and we hope these tools yield a successful “Get Five” effort for you and your family.
