Branding Logo Changes Update

Madison College logoIt is exciting to see employees integrating the branding changes by using the new logo and replacing MATC with Madison College. Changes are happening everyday. Here is a summary of activities that have been happening since the beginning of the year.

Back in January the college became more focused on the changes by soliciting the help of the Web Advisory Committee. Each Web Administrator worked with their authors to replace the logo and MATC out on the web.

In April, some of your colleagues attended an information session pertaining to the branding logo changes. These employees agreed to assist with the changes and are the primary contacts for changes in their areas. Special thanks to each of you for your continued efforts in rolling out the new logo and nickname.

As the college has the need to replace or revise items (i.e., letterhead, brochures, training materials, reports, pdf files, word documents) the primary contact’s role is to ensure their areas incorporate the new logo and/or replace MATC.

Renovations at Commercial Ave and South campuses and our new West Campus provided opportunities to replace the old logo and MATC and/or create new signage.

The recent portal change created a window to make changes to Inside MATC and askMATC. Your primary contacts will continue to work with you and the Web Administrators to ensure Inside MATC is changed to myMadisonCollege and askMATC to askMadisonCollege.

The last phase of the changes will be the URL & email systems. The College will be moving towards a new Internet domain name that is more consistent with “Madison College.” The timing of this change will be significantly influenced by internet analytics. As with any “.edu” domain, the specific domain name will require approval from Educause. The college email domain will be changed to the new .edu domain at the same time.

In order to support the branding logo changes immediately, the college has established the madisoncollege.org domain name as an alternate pathway to our web site and email. You can now use this web or email address and it will redirect to our .edu site.

In one way or another you have or will be involved in the changes, so please work with your primary contact. If there is no primary contact in your area and you wish to help, please let your manager know and he/she can contact Marketing to get your name on the list.

If you are asked to help with the changes your primary contact will discuss some tips to help with making the changes. The college has a stretch goal of July 31, 2010, as a date to have as many of the changes done as possible in time for the fall semester.

    Thanks for your support!
