Blackboard Term Course Retention Procedure

As of Monday, October 25, term course shells older than two years will be removed from Blackboard as part of the Blackboard Learning System Term Course Retention Procedure.

Because of a critical shortage of storage on our Blackboard system, we need to remove the term class shells from both Summer and Fall 2008 on October 25. You can find more information on the Blackboard Resource page by going to the Madison College homepage, clicking on "B" in the A-Z index, then choosing "Blackboard Resources", then "Course Management".

Master and other course shells will continue to be retained on the Blackboard system. This process will occur after each term as part of regular routine maintenance.

Individual faculty and staff will receive an email message this week indicating the specific term courses that will be affected by this process.

Training and resource materials are available from CETL to help faculty save and store any necessary content. You can find this information on the Blackboard Resource page.
