Blackboard Term Course Deletion Project Deadline
Tue, 11/17/2009 - 17:16 — wbessette
Important alert! Critical information regarding the Blackboard Course Deletion project may have landed in your junk email folder. Please check this folder for Blackboard related notices.
Please note as of Tuesday, November 24, term course shells older than two (2) years will be removed from Blackboard as part of the Blackboard Learning System Term Course Retention Procedure to address elimination of course copies no longer needed.
Our Blackboard storage capacity is full and we need to make more room or our Blackboard software systems may be jeopardized. Implementation of this new procedure will help to free up some much needed space for new courses.
Master and other course shells will continue to be retained on the Blackboard system. Going forward, this process will regularly occur after each term as part of regular routine maintenance.
Individual faculty and staff will receive an email message this week indicating the specific term courses that will be affected by this process. Training and resource materials plus scheduled drop-in sessions are available from CETL to help faculty save and store any necessary content. You can find this information on the Blackboard Resource page.
