2007 Spring Awards Banquet

The 2007 Spring Awards Banquet was held on Wednesday, April 25. Seventy-two students, advisors, clubs, and organizations were nominated for the following awards. These awards were established for recognition of outstanding student leaders, clubs, organizations and advisors at Madison Area Technical College.

The following awards were given:

Student Tutors of the Year: Nathan J. Smith, Katherine Wolan, and Steve Hallet.

Student Employee of the Year: Emily Voth, Alexandra Trentin, and Nick Stanek.

Outstanding Student Group: Academic Achievement: Executive Leadership Team, GPA: 3.34.

Outstanding Student Group: Community Service: MATC Automotive Club.

Outstanding Student Club of the Year: Orgullo Latino.

Outstanding Student Organization: The Clarion.

Outstanding Advisor of the Year: Mark Finger, Advisor for the Business Professionals of America.

Exemplary Advisor, Lifetime Contribution: Twilla Shesky, Founder of the Student Nurses Association 1985-2007.

Wisconsin Technical College System State Ambassador: Jeffrey Fahrenbach.

Arts Student of the Year, Performing Arts: Lauri Brenning.

Arts Student of the Year, Visual Arts: Kim Skram and David Flatt.

Student Senate Leadership Merit Award: Christopher Listle and Monica Wozala.

Exemplary Learner of the Year, Agriscience & Technologies: Katrina Smith.

Exemplary Learner of the Year, Construction, Manufacturing, Apprenticeship & Transportation:
Kevin Donnelly.

Exemplary Learner of the Year, Business & Applied Arts: Rebecca Heizinger.

Exemplary Learner of the Year, Arts & Sciences: Amy Knapp.

Exemplary Learner of the Year, Health & Safety Education: Leeda Mukhieva.
