About MATC Clubs
Many Clubs Available
One way to get to know others who share your interests is to join a campus club. MATC offers more than 40 clubs. These include clubs that are linked to specific programs, such as the Marketing Club, the Student Nurses Association and the Mechanical Design Club. Others, though, are general interest clubs open to all students. They include the Black Student Union, the College Democrats, the Math Club, the Business Professionals of America, the Veteran’s Club and others.
Benefits of Club Membership
Students who are active in campus clubs have the opportunity to attend conferences and social events, participate in various competitions or community service projects, and develop leadership and career skills. In addition, club membership can make your resume stand out from others.
Club Resources
Many resources have been made available to campus clubs through the Student Life Office. Some of those resources include:
Fund-raising assistance through the use of the Snack Bar and raffles (see fund-raising ideas).
SAB funds to support travel, membership, and to hold programs on campus.
Specialized training to help develop club members' leadership skills (see the LeaderShop web site).

"The best thing about club council was realizing what great people come to school at MATC. Everybody works so hard with other aspects of their lives, but Club Council brought me in contact with people that find that extra time to devote to the enrichment of the community. That was an inspiration to me and helped me regain some hope in the idea of a balanced school community."
