    Women in Trades and Technology Workshops

    Do you know a woman interested in careers in skilled trade and/or technical areas?  Then tell her about the following FREE Tools for Tomorrow:  Women in Trades & Technology Workshops.

    • Career Information Session (CIS) – A 3-hour session providing an overview of careers and educational options in advanced manufacturing, applied engineering, mechanics, construction and more!  She can attend a Session on February 15 or March 20, 6-9 pm at the easily accessible Commercial Ave. Campus location.  A CIS Flyer is attached.

    The following short-term, hands-on Career Exploration Workshops provide prospective students with a first-hand view of careers to facilitate subsequent enrollment, retention and graduation; are conveniently scheduled on weeknights and Saturdays; and are taught by enthusiastic and skilled faculty, women students and graduates:

    • Exploring Careers in Engineering & Design – April 2012. A 20-hour workshop focusing on Architectural Tech, Civil Engineering Tech, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Design with information on financial aid and next steps to enrollment
    • Exploring Careers in Home Building & Cabinetmaking – June 2012. A 15-hour workshop focusing on Construction & Remodeling, Cabinetmaking & Millwork and the Carpentry Apprenticeship
