Madison College Foundation Scholarships
Madison College Foundation’s vision is to enrich our community’s quality of life by helping students achieve their career dreams. Overall, the Foundation has disbursed more than $12 million in scholarship and financial assistance to 35,000 Madison College students.
Continuing Student Scholarships
Scholarships are made possible through charitable gifts to the Madison College Foundation by a variety of generous individuals and organizations.
Eligibility
Any Madison College student currently enrolled in at least six credits or who has completed at least six credits previously at the College is eligible to apply. Scholarships are available to help students enrolled in every program.
How to Apply
Madison College Foundation scholarship applications will be accepted for the Fall 2012 semester beginning February 6.
Steps to apply:
- Using a PC (not a Mac) download and complete the Fall 2012 semester scholarship application by typing your responses completely in the space provided.
- Save the application as a PDF file to your computer, H drive or flash drive.
- Submit the saved PDF via the sumbit button at the top right corner or the button at the end of the application. You may also attach it to an email addressed to FoundationAlumni[at] madisoncollege [dot] org. If you are unable to digitally sign or email the application please print, sign and drop off at the Enrollment Center at the Truax campus or the front desk of any Madison College campus.
- Application deadline to be announced.
Financial need is based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2012-13. If you haven’t already, fill it out online at fafsa.ed.gov. FAFSA is not required but it is part of the scholarship scoring process.

Scholarship Selection & Award Notification
Scholarship selection is based on Madison College cumulative grade point average, financial need, community and leadership activities, and your responses to the questions in the application.
Recipients are eligible to receive one Madison College Foundation scholarship per academic year. Scholarship notifications will be sent by July 31, 2012.
New Student Scholarships
Competitive scholarships are offered to students entering Madison College for the first time and enrolling in at least 6 degree credits. Applications are being accepted now for the fall 2012 semeseter. Full and part-time scholarships range from $400 to $2,500 for one academic year.

- Submit one letter of recommendation from a non-family member by email or mail.

Scholarship Selection & Award Notification

Emergency Assistance
- Not have any holds on student account.
- Be enrolled in a financial aid eligible Academic Program for six or more credits during the semester of application.
- Meet the application deadlines for Program Admissions and Financial Aid (July 31 for the Fall Semester and December 15 for the Spring Semester) with all required documents submitted to the appropriate offices.
- Not receive Financial Aid disbursement for the current semester.
- Provide written documentation of the emergency expenses.
- Must not demonstrate a pattern of receiving loans in the past. Students may not be awarded more than one emergency loan throughout their engagement at Madison College.
- May not be eligible for an emergency loan if you received a book loan during the same semester.
