Child Care Funding for Families
The Madison College Child and Family Center supports several scholarships available to qualified Madison College students to help with the cost of child care.
Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) Scholarship. For continuing and new students who are receiving financial aid that includes a Pell Grant, or who match Pell Grant eligibility criteria if not enrolled in a Madison College program eligible for federal financial aid. The CCAMPIS scholarship is also available for students in English as a Second Language classes. The scholarship generally provides a 25% - 35% subsidy for child care expenses. CCAMPIS scholarships are not available for families receiving assistance to pay for child care tuition from other sources. The Scholarships are for families paying for care “out of pocket”, however students can be paying for child care from financial aid.
Student Activity Board (SAB) Scholarships. This scholarship is for continuing and new students who must be enrolled in at least six (6) credits during the academic term of the award. Awards are typically $450 - $1,200 per academic term.
MadisonCollege Foundation Myrtle Leonard Perinatal Scholarship. Recipients must be enrolled in a degree program, must have a 12-credit history at Madison College, and must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits during the academic term of the award. This application requires letters of recommendation. Preference will be given to students in health related programs. Awards are up to $3,500 per year for tuition at the Child and Family Center.
