    Whether you want to take a credit course that may count toward a degree, or a non-credit course for fun or personal enrichment, you can register for classes at Madison College in just four easy steps:

    Search for your course(s) using:

    Make note of the five-digit class number(s) for the course(s) you want to take. This number will be required to complete registration.

    Find out when you can register.

    Your registration date is determined by your student status at Madison College. Student status is based on whether you are attending Madison College for the first time or are a continuing student, as well as other factors such as your class load (full- or part-time).

    Determine your student status and create an account, if necessary.

    Schedule any necessary assessment testing.

    Depending on which credit course(s) you would like to take, there may be assessment testing required before you can enroll in a class. To find out if there are any testing requirements, review your specific program requirements, call the academic department directly, or call the Enrollment Center at (608) 246-6210.

    Register for class.

    There are four ways to register for classes at Madison College. You can decide which method is easiest for you to enroll:

    • Online registration
    • Phone-in registration
    • Mail-in registration
    • In-person registration
