Madison College Baseball Player Drafted by White Sox

Tyler JonesYou could soon see Madison College baseball player Tyler Jones in a Chicago White Sox uniform.

Jones, who spent the last two seasons on the mound for the WolfPack, was a 21st round pick by the White Sox in the recent Major League Baseball Draft.

Jones was 9-2 with a 3.01 ERA and made 14 appearances this season for Madison College. He threw complete games in seven of his 10 starts this season.

This is not the first time the WolfPack have seen a former player get drafted. Jones is the 21st WolfPack baseball player to get drafted by a MLB organization and the seventh player to get drafted since Coach Mike Davenport arrived at Madison College in 2005.
