
Restorative & Rehabilative Therapy Aide
About
The 60 hour, 2 credit, Restorative & Rehabilitation Therapy Aide training provides Certified Nursing Assistants with additional skills and insights in the therapeutic area. It assists with career exploration in a variety of therapeutic settings. Training includes classroom, lab and instruction in therapeutic interventions and approaches to care. Therapeutic site tours and presentation by different types of therapists at a variety of area health care facilities. Site visits will include an Acute Care Rehabilitation setting, Sports Medicine, Long Term Care, Restorative care setting and Speech Therapy. This is short-term training offered at the Madison campus.

Certificate Eligibility
This certificate does not require an application to the college, but students must meet the program requirements and courses listed below. A grade of C or better is required in each course to be awarded the certificate.

Program Requirements and Courses
1) Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry; and
2) Completion or concurrent enrollment in Body Structure and Function.
