    About

    To be accepted into company training programs in middle management, or for running and operating a business, the Business Management program provides a well-rounded study in the fundamentals of business organization, finance, management, and related studies. This program provides the student with training necessary for employment and advancement on the job in middle management and allied occupations. Graduates are also trained for positions in such specialty areas as sales, accounting or office operations.

    Requirements for Program Application

    The following is required to process your application:

    • High School transcript  (if currently enrolled in high school, also submit your senior class listing) - or
    • Completed COMPASS  - or 
    • HSED/GED Test Scores  - or
    • College transcript showing an Associate's, Bachelor's or higher degree from an institution other than Madison College
    Admission Processing Deadlines: 
    Spring 2012

    Madison College begins collecting applications for the following year's spring semester on January 16, 2011. For this program applications must be received by January 15, 2012, to be considered for the spring semester.  All supporting documentation (transcripts, test scores, etc.) must be received by February 2, 2012.

    Fall 2012

    Madison College begins collecting applications for the following year's fall semester on September 1, 2011. For this program applications must be received by August 31, 2012, to be considered for the fall semester.  All supporting documentation (transcripts, test scores, etc.) must be received by September 15, 2012.

    Graduation Requirements: 

    A grade of "C" or higher is required for all core (program specific) courses to graduate.

    Test Scores

    Test scores are not required for admission into this program. However, they may be used to meet the C or better in algebra requirement if not met another way (see above).

    Definitions and Guidelines

    We do not transfer in accounting classes that are over 5 years old unless the student has been working in the accounting field. We only transfer in equivalent college work if the grade is a C or better. (We do not transfer in C- graded course work). Advanced Standing cannot exceed 50% of the required credits for the program.
