Special President's Message: March 1, 2011

Dear Colleagues and Students:

Governor Walker is scheduled to deliver his budget address at 4 p.m. today. Although we don’t know specifics, we have been given hints that the technical colleges will not be spared despite the fact that we are so critical to job creation in our state.

I invite all of you to watch the budget address with me and other colleagues and students in the Truax cafeteria. We will gather at 3:45 p.m. Like others across our state we are going to face some tough times, but as a college we will continue to address issues together.

If you are not able to join us in person, we encourage you to check your local stations/websites or go to Wisconsin Eye online or Charter Cable Channel 995. 

Madison College has worked together for more than 100 years to serve our community, and we will continue to do a wonderful job regardless of obstacles to our success. If you are free, please come and watch the Governor’s budget address with me at 3:45 p.m. The drinks (soft!) are on me.
