Communication & Performing Arts

Welcome to the NEW combined department of Communication & Performing Arts! Both disciplines focus on communication skills that are particularly important in our society today. 

Actors, Musicians, Journalists, Public Speakers, and Film directors all have one thing in common-creating work that celebrates the spirit of life.

In our courses, students will explore exciting careers to develop their individual voices artistically; whether, it is a play, musical performance, news article, oral presentation or motion picture. Through this process, students will better understand themselves and respond actively as citizens of our world.

Our department serves program and college transfer students. As part of the Liberal Arts Transfer Program, all courses are accepted by the University of Wisconsin and other degree programs. Transfer students can use the Transfer Information System (TIS) for further information. 

Our team is made up of four full-time faculty and about 20 part-time faculty. The faculty offers a huge breadth of experience to share with students to help shape their future career.
