Other Programs and Services
The College Preparedness & Academic Advancement Center (CPAAC) also offers other great programs and services that you may not be aware of.
Institutionalized Adults Program
Through collaborative efforts with county jail and state correctional administrative staff, the program for institutionalized adults provides on-site basic skills education and remedial instruction at sites throughout the Madison College District.
Workplace Education Services
Workplace education programs are developed through a three-way partnership among businesses, labor and education. Numerous companies throughout the district work with Madison College to provide basic education instruction for their employees utilizing job-specific curriculum and materials.
Special Needs Instruction
Students who have a documented physical or learning disability which may inhibit their academic success at Madison College, can work with special needs instructors and peer tutors to arrange instruction, accommodations and other services.
Peer-Facilitated Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction is a series of weekly group-study sessions for students taking tough classes. The SI program targets traditionally difficult courses and provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class, peer-facilitated review sessions that offer students the opportunity to discuss and process course information.
In SI, our focus isn’t high-risk students, but high-risk classes. For this reason, SI is open to all students who want to increase their understanding of course material and improve their grades.
