    • Child Care Aware website 
      Looking for child care for the first time can be an unfamiliar experience that raises many questions. Questions that leave you wondering, "Will I be able to find care for my child(ren)? Where do I start?" Together with local Child Care Resources & Referral agencies, Child Care Aware helps parents become informed consumers of child care. One way Child Care Aware does this is by answering your child care questions.

    • Satellite website 
      The Satellite website provides a list of City of Madison Accredited family child care providers in Dane County. Each provider offers regulated care that meets or exceeds City of Madison accreditation standards, for infants through school-age children. 

    • Community Coordinated Child Care Inc. (4-C) website 
      The mission of 4-C is to ensure that every child has access to high quality early care and education through integrated support and expertise.

    • Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) website
      Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) is a statewide, nonprofit organization serving as a professional association whose members care for and educate Wisconsin's children, aged birth to eight. We are an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

      The main goal of the Madison Child Care Program is to support and promote high quality child care and early education for children and families in the City.

    • Wisconsin Department of Children and Families website
      The mission of the Department of Children and Families is to promote the economic and social well-being of Wisconsin's children and families. The Department is committed to protecting children, strengthening families, and building communities.

    • NAEYC Accreditation of Programs for Young Children
      The National Association for the Education of Young Children is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. NAEYC is committed to becoming an increasingly high performing and inclusive organization.

    • A map with link to county departments of social/human services. Reports of child abuse or neglect should be made to the county where the child or the child resides.

    • The Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards specify developmental expectations for children from birth through entrance to first grade. The standards reflect attention to all the domains of a child's learning and development. each domain is divided into sub-domains. Each sub-domain includes developmental expectations, program standards, performance standards and developmental continuum. Samples of children's behavior and adult strategies are also provided.
