Orientation

On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration at Madison College, we would like to welcome you and your family to Madison College!  We are delighted that you chose to begin or continue your educational endeavors at our institution.  New Student Orientation is a crucial component of your experience at Madison College.  Participation in Orientation programming will provide you with:

1. A background on the issues essential to a smooth transition into the college environment.
2. The ability to confidently navigate Madison College campuses.
3. Describe program policies, expectations, curriculum, and wait list/petition processes.
4. Access campus academic and support services.
5. Identify the impact of Madison College policies as it relates to you.
6. Access financial aid services to meet your needs.
7. Enroll in appropriate first semester classes.
8. Use Madison College Technology to access self service, communicate, access course information and activities as needed.
9. Connect to Madison College campus culture.
10. Access appropriate resources to develop success skills as needed.

The New Student Orientation program is coordinated by the Center for Student Life in collaboration with the Enrollment Center, Marketing, the Student Development Center, Disability Resource Services, Counseling, Technology Services, Public Safety Services, Events Services and all of the Academic Schools of Learning at Madison College.

Fall 2012 Orientation Sessions

Orientation sessions for new, transfer and returning Madison College students for the fall 2012 term will begin in late May.  If you will be attending Madison College in fall 2012, please check your mailbox, E-Mail and/or myMadisonCollege in April for more information about Orientation.

Are you a current Madison College student interesting in serving on the New Student Orientation team?  The Center for Student Life is now accepting applications from enthusiastic student leaders who will help transition new students and family members to the Madison College community.  Learn more about serving as an Orientation Coordinator during summer 2012!
