    Programs

    Barber/Cosmetologist

    Use your creative energy as you prepare for a career in barber/cosmetology. Develop the technical and customer service skills you’ll need for this exciting career helping people look (and feel) their best.

    Early Childhood Education

    Get hands-on experience working with small children and learning from childcare professionals through working at one of our child care centers or a similar facility. Learn child development, leadership and sound decision-making skills as you create a safe, stimulating and respectful atmosphere for young children and their families.

    Human Services Associate

    Gain the skills to enter or advance in human service agencies and related organizations that provide information, support, care and/or advocacy. Do fieldwork to develop an understanding of the issues involved in working with people in a variety of real world situations.

     

    Apprenticeship

    Barber/Cosmetologist Apprenticeship

    This apprenticeship opportunity involves classroom and on-the-job training for a career in barber/cosmetology. Develop the technical and customer service skills you’ll need for this exciting career helping people look (and feel) their best.

     

    Certificates

    Health Club Technician Certificate

    Gain the skills you need to qualify for employment as a personal trainer, fitness instructor or activity director in health clubs and recreational centers. Prepare to take certifications for the American Red Cross and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) upon completion of this certificate.

     

    Start Smart at Madison College

    Attend Transfer U to satisfy the first two years of general education requirements and continue on for your bachelor’s degree at another college or university, including UW-Madison. When compared directly with nine other Madison area colleges, full-time Madison College Transfer U students save an average of nearly $11,000 a year in tuition and fees. Choose between Arts, Engineering and Science paths to work toward your career goal.
