Non-Program Student Registration

Enroll in a Credit Class

If you would like to take a few credit classes to begin your educational career, get that extra training for a promotion or if you simply have an interest in studying a particular subject (but do not wish to apply for a program), it is easy to enroll in credit classes at Madison College!

If you are interested in taking a non-credit, enrichment class, visit the Adult Continuing Education course listings for information about offerings and how to sign up for one of our non-credit/enrichment classes.

STEP 1: Create or Activate Account

Before registering, visit the Student Status web page and determine any necessary steps required to create and/or activate a student account prior to registration.

STEP 2: Schedule any necessary assessment testing

Assessment testing and minimum scores may required for registration into certain degree credit classes. Review the specific course/class requirements to determine if there are any testing requirements or other prerequisites. Questions may be addressed to the academic program School Office (formerly Center Office) directly or by calling the Enrollment Center at (608) 246-6210.

STEP 3: Submit any required transcripts

Transfer credit and pre-requisite evaluation require an official transcript on record prior to registration. For information on what consitutes an official transcript, please review the Transcripts web page. Send official transcripts to: Madison College Enrollment Center, 3550 Anderson Street, Madison, WI 53704-2599.

STEP 4: Register for the class

Non-program students (those not accepted into and active in a specific academic program) may register during open registration. For more information on registration dates, see the Registration Resources web page.
