MADISON (WKOW) -- The event is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
It's free, as long as you bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Community Action Coalition.
Automotive students and instructors will check car belts, hoses and tires, plus top off any fluids. Car owners will be notified of any mechanical problems, but no repairs will be made during the clinic.
"Over the past six years, we have found some major problems with cars, and if we can help prevent even just one person out with problems, from their car falling apart, that's good news," says instructor Craig Lathrop.
Saturday's event begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. at Madison College's Truax Campus at 3550 Anderson Street.
Last year, nearly 40 cars were inspected and a donation of more than 360 pounds of food was made to CAC.
