Blackhawk Technical College is in line for $1 million for job training, which was included in the Senate Omnibus Appropriations Bill.

U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wisconsin, who is a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, said he identified this project as a priority for funding. Kohl also included $300,000 for Madison Area Technical College in the appropriations bill.

The funds targeted for Blackhawk Technical College will provide tuition and books so that dislocated workers in Rock County can train for new careers.
