Want to have your car looked over before the really cold weather hits?
Madison Area Technical College automotive students and instructors are holding their annual Car Care Clinic on Saturday at the school's Truax campus, 3550 Anderson St.
The event is free as long as you donate a non-perishable food item, which will be given to the Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin.
Students will check belts, hoses, wipers and other key parts, plus top-off fluids. Car owners then will be advised of any mechanical issues. However, Madison College students and staff won't fix any problems that are found.
The free clinic is first-come, first-served, and will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Signs will be set up to help direct drivers to the clinic.
Madison College officials said nearly 40 cars were inspected and a donation of more than 360 pounds of food was made to the Community Action Coalition in 2008.
