College Hosting Global Warming Solutions Event

    Madison Area Technical College is hosting an event Thursday associated with the National Teach-in on Global Warming Solutions. It begins at noon and will take place in the Student Lounge on MATC's Truax Campus, 3550 Anderson St.

    Rep. Spencer Black, a Democrat from Madison, will speak at noon, and is to be followed at 12:30 p.m. by Michael Notaro, a researcher from UW-Madison's Center for Climate Research. At 1 p.m., Amy Lord of Focus on Energy will give a presentation.

    This event is free and open to the public.
