Madison Area Technical College President Bettsey Barhorst, a charter signatory of the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment, leads a dedicated effort to reduce energy use and promote sustainability at the college.
From the Renewable Energy Certificate to the Consortium for Education in Renewable Energy Technology program, from the use of solar energy to an impressive reduction energy use and more, Madison College continues to show leadership in its efforts to achieve climate neutrality.

Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education
The Madison Area Technical College is a member of AASHE, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Students, faculty, staff and administrators are encouraged to create their own free account on the AASHE web site and enjoy the benefits of membership.
