Meet Todd, Liberal Arts Transfer Student
As a Liberal Arts Transfer student, you can start smart on your career in government or public administration. Todd did. Today, he’s a district office manager for member of Congress.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism at the University of Wisconsin, but he credits the college transfer classes he took at Madison College for helping build his confidence and drive to succeed.
“I had been out of school for eight years…starting over after being out of school for awhile can be challenging,” he admits.
“The instructors helped me change how I felt about tough subjects like math. The individual attention and small classes were exactly what I needed. Not only did I learn to look at math in a new way, but I gained the foundation in it—allowing me to excel in advanced math courses at the UW.”
Todd transferred to UW prepared to move ahead and ready to take on the world.
