Meet Mark, Biotechnology Graduate
Although he had a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Mark decided to pursue a biotechnology degree at Madison College.
“I’m very happy with my decision to return to school and start a new career,” he says. “Given the growing market in biotech, this was a more interesting field—it really appealed to me.”
The skills he learned at Madison College helped jump-start his new career. “The hands-on approach to education is just one thing the biotechnology program at Madison College does very well.”
Many of the advanced techniques he learned at Madison College he now uses in his new position at a local research laboratory where he is developing screening tools that could lead to more effective drug therapies.
“Fundamentals are a big part of the program, but advanced techniques and critical thinking are what prepared me for the industry.”
