Meet Juan, Human Services Associate Student

I really like helping others and I'm good at it. I like to explain things—communication comes naturally to me.

I did all the tests, and they all led me to human services. When I found out what that was—to help people, talk with them, motivate them and help people succeed—I stopped searching for a career. I knew that was me!

I want to help people who are addicted to drugs. I was one of them, and I never knew I had potential. No one else believed in me. In the end, I had to believe in myself, and it took me years to understand this.

This is a serious issue for me. I want to find a professional way to help these people, to let them know they're not alone. And I want to be the one who takes people by the hand and guides them to get ahead.
