Parking
On-campus parking is available at all campus sites, except the Downtown Education Center. The cost for parking is established by the MATC District Board. All vehicles parked at the Truax Campus and Commercial Avenue Education Center in designated areas shall display a parking sticker or else be subject to ticketing and removal.
Mopeds and bicycles will be provided free parking. At Truax, short-term parking (25 minutes) is provided off Anderson Street. Visitor parking is located in the large lot west of Wright Street. For parking concerns or questions, please call (608) 246-6031.
Parking and bus information for Downtown Education Center students is located at the Carroll Street entrance.
State Disabled Parking for Students, Staff and Visitors
Students and staff using State Disabled stalls should register with the Parking Office. If it is a permanent Disabled Identification Card or a State Disabled License Plate there is no charge for the MATC parking permit. If it is a temporary Disabled Identification Card which will expire prior to the end of the semester, you will be required to purchase an MATC parking permit at this time.
Daily visitors on campus do not need to register to park in State Disabled stalls as long as they display their disabled indentification card or license plate.
Bicycle Parking for Students, Staff and Visitors
Bicycle racks are provided at the Truax Campus and Commercial Avenue and Downtown Education centers.
All bicycles must be parked in these racks. Bicycles found on lawns or chained to stairways, railings, etc. will be removed or detained. No bicycles are to be brought into college buildings. Bicycles must be properly registered with the city. Registration forms may be obtained in the Student Life Office, Room 140.
Student Parking Stickers
Once a student registers for classes and has requested parking to be charged to their account, the sticker will automatically be mailed out in August (fall semester) or January (spring semester ).
Parking Refunds for Students
Parking refunds are in accordance with the District
Refund Policy. If you received a parking sticker and do not need it, call the Truax Parking Office at (608) 246-6031 immediately for details on returning the parking sticker for a refund within the grace period.
