Assistive Technology Determination Procedure
- Disability Resource Services Specialist makes determination that
Assistive Technology may benefit student.
- Student is referred to and meets with the Disability Resource Services
Specialist who specializes in Assistive Technology.
- If it is determined that Assistive Technology is needed, the technology
is set up at one of the MATC campuses, or loaned to the student using
an "Adaptive Equipment Loan Agreement Form".
- If the student is unfamiliar with the technology, the Disability
Resource Services Specialist who specializes in Assistive Technology
provides the student with generalized training on the technology.
- Please refer to the Equipment
Check-Out Policy and Procedures. If
the technology is loaned out to the student, the student must sign
and follow the rules of the "Adaptive
Equipment Loan Agreement Form" (PDF, 26 KB).
