Charles Cunningham, Counselor

Welcome! My name is Charles Cunningham, and I am extremely excited, honored and delighted to be a part of the Counseling Department in the Student Development Center. I look forward to serving students in a variety of capacities involving academic, career, and personal counseling. It is my desire and goal to help students reach their ultimate potential academically, educationally, and personally.

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling (MSE) from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. I am licensed as a K-12 School Social Worker and School Counselor. I have served both as a Minority Services Coordinator and School Counselor at Madison West High School for the past 11 years.

While attending the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, I was a member of the men’s titan basketball team from 1990 – 1992. I also served as the girl’s sophomore basketball coach at Madison West High School from 1996 – 2003. My hobbies include: basketball, football, exercising, reading academic journals, researching information online and spending quality time with my FAMILY!

I enjoy working with students regarding their educational, career and personal goals. I am deeply committed to making your experience at MATC – REWARDING and ENJOYABLE!
