art and school supplies, school-related computer software and clothing.
Metro bus passes and gift certificates are available.
Be sure to bring the class study list with catalog and class numbers when purchasing books and materials for courses. Books are arranged according to class numbers. Books must be purchased at the campus where you will be taking the course.
During the academic year, the Truax Bookstore is open from 7:30
a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
The Downtown Education Center Bookstore is open from 9:30 a.m. to
5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
During certain weeks, the bookstores may only be open for limited
hours. At the beginning of each semester, the bookstores may be
open for extended hours to meet student need. Check the MATC
Truax Bookstore Website.
MATC bookstores accept cash, check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover.
Refunds and exchanges are available within ten days of purchase;
students must have a cash register receipt. Books must be completely
unmarked and in new condition. Books and materials that are shrink-wrapped
must be unopened.
Used Book Sale
MATC works with a national used book vendor to offer textbook buy-back near the end of each semester (fall and spring). Buy-back prices are based on whether the text is ordered for sale the following semester. Some texts may only be sold for wholesale prices.
Used books are stock for sale along with new books. Supplies of used texts may be limited.
